Edgar has over twenty years of Investment Banking and Debt Capital Markets experience, having had different senior roles in top Global Investment Banks.
Prior to founding RM | Capital, Edgar worked at Credit Suisse where he was the Co-Head of the Latin America Debt Capital Markets team from 2013 to 2018. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Edgar was a Director in the LatAm DCM group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he covered clients across the region, focusing primarily in countries such as Mexico, Colombia and Central America. Edgar initiated his banking career at UBS in the Mexico Investment Banking office before relocating to New York in 2004.
Having been focused on debt capital markets matters for +20 years, Edgar has forged long-standing relationships with some of the largest and most important institutional investors that actively participate in Latin America.
Edgar is a Registered Representative of BA Securities, a leading global provider of Broker-Dealer affiliation.
Jose Manuel Ruiz
Founding Partner
Jose is a professional with over thirty years of experience in Investment Banking and Corporate Banking.
Prior to founding RM | Capital, Jose served as Director of Investment Banking at Credit Suisse, where he had the responsibility for servicing the clients headquartered in Monterrey as well as the clients in the Consumer & Retail sector from 2013 to 2018.
Prior to this, Jose had several roles in major Global Investment Banks including Director of Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Director of Investment Banking at Santander, as well as different management positions at Grupo Financiero Serfin.
Jose has been involved in a wide variety of transactions spanning strategic sales, bank financings, public & private debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and restructurings, amongst others.
Jose has a Master in Administration from Southern Methodist University (Cox School) and is a Public Accountant from ITESM Mexico.
