Edgar Madinaveitia

Edgar has over eighteen years of Investment Banking and Debt Capital Markets experience, having had different senior roles in top Global Investment Banks.

Prior to founding RM | Capital, Edgar worked at Credit Suisse where he was the Co-Head of the Latin America Debt Capital Markets team from 2013 to 2018. In this role, he was in charge of leading the firm's practice in the region in all areas of debt capital raising matters. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Edgar was a Director in the LatAm DCM group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he covered clients across the region, focusing primarily in countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Central America. Edgar initiated his banking career in UBS in the Mexico Investment Banking office before moving to New York to the Debt Capital Markets group, where he worked from 2004 to 2006.

Having been focused on debt capital markets matters for ~20 years, Edgar has forged long-standing relationships with some of the largest and most important institutional investors that actively participate in Latin America.

Edgar has structured and executed numerous debt and Liability Management transactions during his professional career for a variety of clients in the region, including Governments, State-owned Enterprises, Corporates and Financial Institutions. Jose is a professional with over twenty five years of experience in Investment Banking and Corporate Banking.
Prior to founding RM | Capital, Jose served as Director of Investment Banking at Credit Suisse, where he had the responsibility for servicing the clients headquartered in Monterrey as well as the clients in the Consumer & Retail sector from 2013 to 2018.
Prior to this, Jose had several roles in major Global Investment Banks including Director of Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Director of Investment Banking at Santander, as well as different management positions at Grupo Financiero Serfin.
Jose has been involved in a wide variety of transactions spanning strategic sales, bank financings, public & private debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and restructurings, amongst others.
Jose has a Master in Administration from Southern Methodist University (Cox School) and is a Public Accountant from ITESM Mexico.
